Grace, agility, strength, twirling, swirling, and bodies flying through the air! I don’t know if I’m talking about ballet or bull riding, but I do know it’s going to be one busy weekend in Grand Forks!
Tonight I will be attending the North Dakota Ballet Company’s La Fille Mal Gardee: Story Ballet at the Empire Arts Center, and tomorrow night the Professional Championship Bullriding Tour featuring Jake Owen at the Alerus Center! If ever a thought went through your head that Grand Forks didn’t have much going on, think again.
La Fille Mal Gardee is being held this weekend at the Empire Arts Center on January 28th-30th. Tickets are only $15 for adults and $12 for students and children. They are available through Ticketmaster or through the Chester Fritz box office at (701)777-4090. If you’ve never been to a ballet performance before and are unsure what to expect, this would be the perfect opportunity to attend your first show! The story is a romantic comedy and the dancers include North Dakota’s finest.
To see some extra spinning and twisting this weekend, come check out the PCB Tour! A friend of mine talked me into going with her [Correction: It didn't take much talking into. I'm a North Dakota girl and there is no ignoring it when the cowboys come to town.] and it’s going to be plenty of fun! Held at the Alerus Center this Saturday, January 29th at 7:30PM, PCB Tour tickets are available at the Alerus Center box office as well as Ticketmaster.
