This week in Grand Forks there are almost too many events going on to choose from!

On Tuesday, March 1st “All Shook Up” will be performed at the Chester Fritz Auditorium. This event can be described as:

“It’s a square little town until a motorcycle ridin’, guitar playin’ and hip swivelin’ hunk rides in and has everyone jumpin’ out of their blue suede shoes in All Shook Up. It’s Footloose, Grease and Happy Days all rolled into one zany story. With more than 24 Elvis hits, All Shook Up kick starts a chain reaction of romances and rebellion through the power of rock n roll music! It’s like an Elvis movie… but better!”

Located at the Chester Fritz Auditorium, the show begins at 7 pm with prices ranging from $28- $48 for Adults.

Thursday, March 3rd should be a very exciting evening with “Slay it Again Sam” at Hilton Garden Inn which will not only be an evening of fun but a wonderful experience to help an organization in our community!

“Who can you trust at Rick’s Cafe? Nobody, if they’re all out to steal the Maltese chicken!” Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre and Celebrity Silent Auction. Over 80 auction items, including a guitar autographed by The Rolling Stones and a boxing glove autographed by Sylvester Stallone. For a list of celebrity donors and auction items, visit  www.thearcuppervalley.org.

With meals at only $50 per person which includes a prime rib dinner, celebrity silent auction and theatre performance how can you say no?!

For the next event you can choose to either attend on Thursday, March 3rd or Friday, March 4th! Stroll on down to Schroeder Middle School for their performance of: Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr.

How could you pass up watching pre-teen children dancing and singing to one of America’s favorite guilty pleasures?

If you are looking for something to do this weekend look no further!

Thoroughly Modern Millie is being performed by Central High School March 3rd – March 6th.

“Taking place in New York City in 1922, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz – a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever.”

The production begins at 7:30 pm and tickets for adults are $8.

On Saturday, March 5th The Fire Hall Theatre will be a part of staged readings for International Women’s Day.

Staged readings will occur in Ontario, Canada, and in Austrailia along with Grand Forks. As part of the program, readings from other regions will be skyped to the Fire Hall.

With so many things going on this weekend I do not know how a Grand Forksian can choose!

(A call to the Mayors office and the Convention and Visitors Bureau left us empty handed in the search for answers as to what a Grand Forks citizen is called, so we took this challenge into our own hands! Spread the word people, we are now Grand Forksian’s!)

We wish you all a safe and enjoyable week and for more information about these and many more events
