Painters use paint, sculptors use clay, and gardeners use the colorful plants and flowers that grow and change throughout the summer. There are so many people I know who turn their gardens into a work of art, and they have to do it year after year! Here are some inspiring photos to get you ready for summer and thinking about creating your own garden masterpiece.
Start small with an Herb Garden. Don’t know where to start? Check out this helpful information: http://www.gourmetspot.com/herbfeature.htm
Find some beautiful pots to work with different floral arrangements. Spike plants are great to use in the middle or back of a pot and then surround it with colors you love. Don’t forget to add a plant what will grow over the edge of the pot to give it the feeling of being extra full!
Head into the garden! Make sure you know how much sun the different areas in your garden are getting so as to pick the right flowers.
Gardening is such a fun way to be artistic in and around your own home. If you have questions about the process, stop into the Alerus Center and plenty of people will be ready and willing!
