So much to do in Grand Forks!

Whether you are in a good mood, bad mood, celebrating successes, or stroking your failed ego nothing makes a person feel better then cranking up the radio. As my semester came to a close this spring, and the black hole of the job market began sucking me in, I found myself only able to relax when screaming the lyrics to Chumbawamba’s classic hit, Tubthumping. Don’t judge me, we all have our go-to songs that just seem to make the world go round. For another friend of mine, who will also be graduating this weekend, it’s the musical genius of Sonny Curtis’s Love is All Around.

Ok, so it’s not really another friend of mine. It’s me. My point is that there seems to be a song for everything these days! You can’t think or say one thing without it being a title from the latest Top 40 hit. Even deciding to take a personal day and laying around the house now has it’s own theme song. (Thanks Bruno Mars, you truly know the way to this girl’s heart) One fabulous singer that really knows how to tell it like it is would be the amazing Mr. Tim McGraw.

Playing at the Alerus Center at 7pm on Tuesday, May 17^th, Tim McGraw has been pumping out hit after hit since the early 90s. He’s had 11 consecutive albums debut at #1 on the Billboard albums chart, won 3 Grammys, 14 ACMs, 11 CMAs, 10 AMAs  and he’s really good at his ABC’s. He has to be since he’s written twenty-one #1 singles for Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart!

I will most definitely be checking out Mr. McGraw at the Alerus Center on Tuesday, but until then here are is my “Top Five” list of Tim McGraw lyrics to be used as corny facebook statuses:
