Heading in an out of gift shops and boutiques, I’ve always found that golf seems to be quite the inspiration for some artists and crafters.

(My kind of sculpture! It multi-tasks and provides inspiration in two forms: golf/wine!)
With more luck putting holes in the grass than getting a hole-in-one, my golf skills haven’t improved much over the years. I blame it on my left-handedness. (Don’t we all) Luckily, on Tuesday, May 31st Kings Walk Golf Course will be hosting a Divot Diva Tee Party at 5:30pm. Anything combining diva and tea party in the title has my vote!
This event is a great chance for us skeptical golfers to see what all the fuss is about. The Divot Diva Tee Party costs $10, which includes lessons and a beverage ticket. Play golf contests for prizes, learn the game from professionals, and have a great time with friends. Who knows maybe you’ll even find a little inspiration to create some golf art for yourself.
Another great way to get inspired is to surround yourself with others who share the same interests as you. The Grand Cities Art Fest is coming up June 11-12th in downtown Grand Forks and East Grand Forks, and is looking for a great batch of volunteers for the event. Assist at booths or the information desk, enjoy the weather as you help set up or take down, and meet over 200 other volunteers in the area who are interested in the arts!
